The latest edition of Movers and Shakers is now available reviewing developments in the US generic industry during the first quarter of 2013.

Highlights include:

• 47 companies from 12 countries received a total of 121 final ANDA approvals.
• The FDA posted information on the first Paragraph IV patent challenges to a single new active ingredient, down from three during the previous quarter.·        
• Numerous deals in the increasingly global generic drug industry, with many deals continuing to be
  motivated by the need to expand into emerging markets or strengthen existing international operations.
