上海纽约大学招聘 - postdoctoral researcher (Theoretical/Computational Chemistry)
Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the group of Prof. William Glover at NYU Shanghai. Research projects include developing and using multiphysics excited-state ab initio dynamics methods to understand photosynthetic light harvesting and DNA damage. A particular emphasis of this work is in making direct connection to experiment by simulating observables. To achieve these goals, we develop cutting-edge computational tools, including Graphical Processing Unit (GPU)-based quantum chemistry code. More details can be found at https://wp.nyu.edu/glover.Research at NYU Shanghai is supported by the Center for Computational Chemistry, a research institute operated jointly by NYU, NYU Shanghai, and East China Normal University. The center has a core group of faculty members who are conducting frontier research in various fields of computational chemistry, biology, and material sciences. More details can be found at https://shanghai.nyu.edu/research/chemistry.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
-Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physics or related fields
-Experience with electronic structure and molecular dynamics calculations -Experience developing code
-Good command of the English language
The ideal candidates will also have expertise in developing electronic structure code and analytical gradient theory.
The positions are available immediately or upon mutual agreement. Benefits and salary are competitive. The position term is for 12 months initially, with possibility of extension.
Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled. To be considered, applicants should submit a cover letter with a brief description of research accomplishments and interests, a curriculum vitae with a list of publications, and the names and contact information of at least two references.
